The first cement project with capacity of 100 ton/day was established at city of ray about 75 years ago.
The investor of that factory was the government, since then the production and consumption of the cement has been under oscillation.
The executive management of the country has been under effective of that situation and changed their policy base on that condition.
In recent time the needs of cement for developing infrastructure of the country, caused that the government change their policy toward developing the cement industries and supporting the private sector for investment in this field, by giving foreign currency loan from reservoir currency. After that decision many applicant in different state got permition to invest in cement field especially at state of Boushehr. The reason that there were more apply for investment in the cement industries in that state is the location of the plant which is near the seaport, so compare with the other plant which is far from seaport is more economical for exporting cement to different area, that was one of the main motive for establishing Mond-e- Dashti Cement CO. in that place.
The expert of cement industries has different disintegration of the future production and consumption for cement industries. Since the board of trustee of foreign currency has approved that the facilities and loan will be given to those projects which have been accepted by the bank before February of 2005, and with taking into consideration that all the project which have got permission will be done and start production and also considering the production of existing plant, the production per person will be reach to 1000 kg/person which for Iran which needs to develop the infrastructure is not too much. Beside that since the location of this project is near the sea cost it would be compatible for export.
